Traffic Advisory: River Rd. to re-open Friday night
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – River Road is expected to re-open by 8:00 Friday night, according to the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority.
The road has been closed while crews work to repair a damaged pipe at the site of a massive sewage spill that happened last month.
More than a million gallons of waste water spilled into Barnard’s Creek before crews could set up a bypass line to redirect the waste from two pump stations.
