WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Zimmer Cancer Center is looking for volunteers to be part of a historic study that, hopefully, will eventually put an end to the dreadful disease.
The cancer prevention study, called Cancer Prevention Study 3, is part of a nationwide effort by the American Cancer Society.
Local participants have to be between 30 and 65 years who have never personally been diagnosed with cancer.
The hope with the study is to determine what causes and prevents cancer.
You can enroll in the study Thursday and Friday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Click here to schedule an appointment.
