Costume contest at haunted house will benefit WPD

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Grab your best costume and come out to one of Wilmington’s spookiest spots.

The Wilmington Police Recreation Association is holding a costume contest the weekend before Halloween.

There are two groups for the contest. There is a teen group, which includes anyone from the age of 13 to 17. The cost for teens is $10.

There is also an adult group, which is for anyone 18 years old and up and the registration fee is $20.

The Wilmington Police Department is only allowing 100 people per group so register early.

Cash prizes will be handed out to the winners in each group by celebrity judges.

The party is Saturday, Oct. 27 and begins at 1 pm.

It will be held at the Panic Attack Haunted Attraction, located at 1290 South 15th Street.
