WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Pooches in Wilmington cooled off on Friday at the annual Pooch Plunge at Legion Stadium on Carolina Beach Road.
Starting Tuesday, the pool was open for dogs only from 4pm until 8pm. On Friday, the pool closed early because of thunder and lightening, but that didn't stop the pups from having fun before.
"They were running in and out and jumping and swimming their little hearts out and they are exhausted right now," said Mary Myers.
"I think it was a totally awesome idea," said Brett Baltusnik. "We came out here and it turned out to be a really great time."
The Pooch Plunge will be open Saturday from 10am until 2pm. It costs $5, and all of the money will go towards the City of Wilmington dog park.
