Crews clear scene of crash along George Anderson Dr.; woman taken to hospital | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Crews with the Wilmington Police Department and fire department cleared the scene Thursday afternoon where a two-vehicle crash took place earlier.

According to WPD officials, the crash involved a Chevy Tahoe and a two-door passenger car. The car ended up in a drainage ditch along George Anderson Drive, where the female driver was trapped inside.

She was extricated by the fire department and EMS officials, and taken to a nearby hospital.

The extent of her injuries currently remain unknown.

The crash is under investigation.
