Park scholarship nominees announced | Education

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – New Hanover County schools announced Wednesday the list of semi-finalists for the Park Scholarships.

The Park Scholarship provides an educational opportunity for 45 exceptionally talented and well-prepared students to develop leadership skills and commitment to public service.

This is a four-year scholarship to NC State University that covers tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel and personal expenses, as well as a computer stipend and opportunities for study abroad, research grants and yearly enrichment activites.

The scholarship is awarded on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service and character.

The Park Scholarship nominees are:
