WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - One of the stars of Glee is coming to Wilmington to film a music video, and producers are looking for a lot of teenaged extras.

Local mother Amy Wright posted on Facebook that she and her family have written and recorded a new song called "Be the One." The inspiration came from their involvement with a non-profit organization called Best Buddies.

The group helps create opportunities for friendships, employment and leadership development for people with intellectual disabilities.

The Wright family also recorded a song in 2012 called It Starts With a Voice. The Wrights have two children—Beau, 7 and Jane Adeline, 3—who have Down syndrome.

Lauren Potter, who stars as Becky Jackson on the FOX television show Glee, will star in the music video being filmed on March 23 and 24.

There is a need for extras, age 13-18, to film a prom scene at the Community Arts Center in downtown Wilmington on March 23 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. and a basketball scene at the First Baptist Church Activity Center on March 24 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.

There is also a need for behind-the-scenes help with decorating, donating items for a gift basket for Becky, providing food for the cast and crew, production assistance and helping with wardrobe.

If you are interested in being a part of the "Be the One" music video, message Amy Wright through Facebook by clicking here.
