Fundraiser for Guatemalan orphanage scheduled

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A fundraiser will be taking place soon for an orphanage in Guatemala, according to a news release from an event organizer.

Sean Carr, a local photographer, has taken several trips to Guatemala and has been inspired to raise awareness about the living conditions for children who live there.

The fundraiser he’s hosting, complete with live music, food, photos, wine and craft vendors at earthbound Salon and Day Spa on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The money will go towards food, shelter and education for kids at Luz de Fatima Orphanage.

The salon is located at 4833 Carolina Beach Road.
