NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Lace up your running shoes, Ashley High School is hosting a 5K run to benefit a school in New Jersey devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

The school has organized a 5K and 1 mile fun run/walk to help Point Pleasant Beach High School in Point Pleasant, NJ.

The event is Saturday, Feb. 9. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. The fun run begins at 10:00 a.m. and the 5K starts at 10:30 a.m.

Cost: Registration Prices: $20/$15 for students until 1/31/13
$25/$20 from 2/1/13-2/8/13
$30/$25 day of event
