WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – If you’re looking for a great way to kick off 2013, consider embarking on a nature hike at Halyburton Park on New Year’s Day.
The two-mile hike, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., will allow participants to learn about the park’s history, Long Leaf Pine Forest, Carolina Bays and more, according to a news release.
Anyone 10 and up is welcome to participate, and the event is free.
Hikers will use the Cross City Trail to go from the park to the Cameron Art Museum.
