Students set up job fair for area veterans
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Students are stepping up to the plate to help area veterans find a job.
A job fair will be set up at the VFW on Carolina Beach Road Thursday as part of “Employ a Vet” week.
Veterans will be able to meet representatives from local companies like GE and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Organizers say these types of events are crucial to helping veterans get back on track.
The job fair will take place from 8 a.m. to noon and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
