Neighborhood park reopens after million-dollar renovation

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A neighborhood park that’s been around since the mid-1970s was reopened in New Hanover County on Wednesday.

A million-dollar renovation completed at Arrowhead Park included new picnic shelters, restrooms, a multi-purpose field, basketball court, two tennis courts and an 18-hole disc golf course, according to a news release from New Hanover County.

Renovations were reportedly made through the 2006 Parks and Greenspace Bond Referendum.

Arrowhead Park is located on Arnold Road off Silver Lake Road near Monkey Junction.
