Students run to raise money for a teacher at their school | Community Spirit

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Some students at Pine Valley Elementary hit the track in an effort to raise money for a gym teacher at the school.

Kids from kindergarten to fifth grade ran five laps Friday morning, and after each lap they had to do an activity.  The students did this to raise money for Relay for Life Team Suttles.

Ann Suttles was diagnosed with breast cancer on Valentine’s Day.  She said the team is always looking for more support.

The 2012 Relay for Life event will take place in Wilmington April 27, 2012 at Ashley High School.
