NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) — If you’re an extreme couponer or if you just clip the discounts for a few extra bucks, you can help military families stationed overseas by sharing your expired coupons.
International commissaries accept manufacturer coupons that are up to six months expired, according to New Hanover County’s Mark Boyer. The NHC Senior Resource Center’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports Coups for Troops by clipping these expired coupons and stuffing envelopes full of them for our military to use.
The program will host a Coups for Troops “meet and greet” at the New Hanover County Senior Resource Center on Tuesday, August 23 from 2 until 4 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided.
