WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A former Wilmington coffee shop is currently in the process of being transformed into a restaurant.
The Coastal Roaster, located in the Beau Rivage Shopping Center, closed Dec. 31. Soon, the remodeled space will reopen as Niche Kitchen & Bar, according to a sign posted on the business’ door.
“We will be open for lunch and dinner, and feature new eclectic cuisine prepared by Chef Chris Newton, formerly of Cape Fear Seafood Restaurant (for those of you who have enjoyed our homemade soups over the past 2-years, you’ve sampled just one of his many talents in food preparation)” reads the sign.
Niche is expected to open in late February or early March.
Along with soups, a sample menu for the new restaurant includes sandwiches, appetizers, salads and more.
