New oncologist/hematologist joins Wilmington Health | Business

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Health’s first oncologist/hematologist will begin seeing patients at the company’s 1202 Medical Center Drive location.

According to a news release, Justin Markow, DO, is trained in the most recent hematology and oncology treatments.

Markow earned his osteopathic medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville, MO, before completing is residency in internal medicine as well has is fellowship in hematology at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola , NY.

At Winthrop University Hospital, Markow conducted research and studied multiple myeloma, colon cancer, chemotherapy hypersensitivity, and immune thrombocytopenia..
