NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – New Hanover Regional Medical Center was recognized as one of the best hospitals in North Carolina and the coastal plain area in U.S. News & World Report, according to a news release.
“Providing quality care to our patients is our first priority and we are honored to be recognized for that care,” Jack Barto, president and chief executive officer of New Hanover Regional Medical Center, said in a statement. “I am proud to work with such a dedicated team of physicians, nurses and staff who have worked hard to earn this achievement.”
NHRMC was also reportedly recognized as high-performing in cardiology and heart surgery, gastroenterology, orthopedics and pulmonology. The rankings were based on reputation, patient survival, patient safety and care-related factors, like nursing and patient services.
