WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Shrimp lovers chowed down on boatloads of delicious shrimp Saturday afternoon at the Cape Fear Shrimpfest.
2012 marked the fifth year for the annual event at Cape Fear Presbyterian Church on Shipyard Boulevard.
The church's pastor says all the shrimp at the event this year was donated, meaning that more money will go to charities like Mother Hubbard's Cupboard and the Black Mountain Home for Children.
“I think the food has really been the draw,” said Reverend Jonathan Watson, which the Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. “People seem to really like shrimp, and our folks have a great recipe for cooking it."
