Lightning strike starts fire in attic of Wilmington home
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Fire Department officials responded to a residential fire on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire, caused by lightning, occurred in the attic of a home located at 1407 Barouche Court, according to WFD spokesperson David Hines. Damages were estimated at $20,000 and no was injured.
